About Lisa
I have a love and passion for learning and always have. Despite the trauma that comes with having parents with serious mental health and long-term illnesses, my parents’ education, and their desire to share it with me, gave me a place to turn when I didn’t know where to go or what to do. Reading and learning provided my solace from a chaotic household, and it propelled my love for learning and my work as an educator, a teacher mentor, curriculum specialist, and professional development specialist/group facilitator over the past 25 years. I have lived mostly in the Midwest in Indiana and Minnesota but am currently in South Carolina and Minnesota and continue my work in education in the classroom and through educational consulting. I am passionate about connecting with people, being an advocate for at risk youth, and sharing my love for learning with both educators and students alike.
Why Attachment Matters, LLC?
II am thrilled to be a part of an organization that supports the mental health and emotional well-being of our communities’ youth. I believe all people, crave greater connection, and the desire for self-awareness and acceptance, and when this acceptance becomes self-love, we are able to have more authentic and meaningful relationships. By helping others understand attachment theory and one’s own attachment style, we can all move to a greater understanding of one another and cultivate empathy and stronger communities.
